Call For Papers

“Special Issue SIAL 5” 

As announced during the final session of SIAL 5 in Ohrid, September 2009, the proceedings of the Symposium will be published in a special issue of the journal Hydrobiologia.
We now invite all the participants of SIAL 5 to submit contributions to this special issue.
 
We are interested in receiving contributions addressing the patterns of biodiversity in worldwide ancient lakes and particularly the historical processes of evolution and speciation that have led to this diversity.
The volume will include both keynote presentations and further selected contributions. Review-oriented papers are encouraged, but original research papers are equally considered.The final deadline for submission of papers is August 30, 2010.
 
Manuscripts shall be prepared according to Hydrobiologia guidelines, which are available online.

All submitted papers will undergo normal peer review process and will be selected by their quality, by the guest editors, pending final agreement of publication by the Hydrobiologia Editor in Chief. We intend to publish 15-20 high-quality contributions (of approximately 6-15 printed pages each). We plan to provide fifty offprints of each individual paper free of charge.
